LAID BACK OCEAN-3rd. mini ALBUM「Heart box」

We produced the artwork for “Kokoro no Hako” (“Box of the Soul”), the 3rd mini album by the piano rock band LAID BACK OCEAN, released in August 2012. We expressed how thoughts reflected in many boxes become one picture – the image of a migratory bird flying away. The bird looks like it’s flying while desperately searching its individuality surrounded by the loneliness and isolation of Tokyo, or as if it’s flying powerfully towards the future. We intended the design to look like a treasure box filled with many precious gems to the person who takes the album in their hand.
